Nectar

As our friend and blogger has recently pointed out, this is an incredible time of year for those of us who like to be outside. Especially those of us who like to mountain bike. (Or those furrier amongst us who get to run alongside while we bike.)

Tonight, another chance to sip the nectar of perfect temperatures, beautiful golden light, longs twilights, and sweet, sweet trails.

Measure in another collections of flowers, adding their vibrant electricity to the beiges and greens of the desert, and it's easy to see why we spend so much time out there.

One cluster of flowers in particular captivated us. A frilly yellow primrose was dancing its blossoms upward and sending out such a sweet and delicate fragrance that the opportunity to stop and smell the flowers became an imperative. My nose noticed. And Trina's nose. Even the little dog noses found the nectar captivating. (Or, it's possible... the dogs were more captivated by a nearby rodent hole.)

But stop and smell we did.
